About

Hi, I'm Britt.

I'm a videographer and photographer in Kitimat, BC. I pair beautiful footage with real social media experience to make destination content for the places I love, and for the people who look after them.

From the Chamber to MossWood Media

Before MossWood Media, I ran social media for the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce. I filmed local businesses, residents and community events, posted the videos myself, and watched closely what made people in our region stop, share and act. I learned quickly that a good video does more than get views. I've had videos bring in donations within minutes, and customers come in asking for services the same day the video was published.

That job taught me both halves of the work: how to make footage people want to watch, and how to get it in front of the people who matter to you. MossWood Media brings those together. I make destination content that looks beautiful and is built for social media, so it doesn't just sit on your page. It brings people in.

That's what I want for every client: films that people act on, not just watch. So I started MossWood Media to make them for tourism, businesses and communities across the northwest.

Why I film here

I moved to Kitimat from the Northwest Territories in 2024, and I never thought I'd be lucky enough to film in a place like this. Mountains that drop straight into the ocean, rivers full of salmon, walking through the clouds in a rainforest.

I want to share it. I want to bring people here who will love it the way I do, and I want locals to see it from a new angle, so they fall in love with it all over again.

I've lived in remote communities before, so I know how the north works. Towns are small, everyone knows everyone, and the people in front of the camera are often your neighbours. Good work here starts with trust and respect, and with listening before filming. I know how to work with communities, not just in them.

I film anywhere in northwest BC, wherever the story is. I know the seasons and the weather up here, so every shoot is planned around the best light and the best time of year.

MossWood Gardens

MossWood started at home. My family is building MossWood Gardens, a greenhouse on our property in Kitimat, and I do all of its marketing myself.

Its pre-opening campaign, built on simple gardening tips, reached 59,000 organic views in a single month, with no ad spend, in a town of about 8,000. The views were only part of it. Now people stop me everywhere I go to talk about the greenhouse. The greenhouse has a reputation in town and we haven't even opened the doors yet.

It's the same approach I bring to every project: know your audience, plan for your season, and tell a story people want to share.

Working with me

You work with me from the first chat to the final files. I plan, film and edit every project myself, so nothing gets lost between people.

If a project needs a bigger crew, I'll know after our first conversation, and I'll bring in videographers and editors from my network and include them in your quote. Either way, your delivery date is guaranteed in writing.
